Around 1990, Ron Calandra established Hearts for the Homeless. The Buffalo nonprofit Hearts provides food, goods, and clothing to those in need in Western New York.

The organization runs a soup truck that travels around the city to distribute meals, warm clothing, and information about available resources to the homeless and low-income.

Clothing, accessories, modest household items, and clean bed linens are all accepted donations, as well as cash and nonperishable food for the mobile soup kitchen. Please call ahead to verify that they are able to accept your donation.
